The Money Advice Service, an independent body set up by the government to offer money guidance, estimates that more than 15 per cent of the population has problems with debt – with younger adults, larger families, single parents and renters particularly at risk. Among those aged 25-34 years, one in four live with debt problems.

Giving increased by 70%
Volunteer time increased by 47%
And 78% of couples attending our small group study reported that their marriage was strengthened
