OUR IDENTITY AND THE CORE VALUES OF YOUR MONEY COUNTS GHANA ARE BASED ON THE TRUTHS CONTAINED IN THE BIBLE.

1. Our Identity

Who We Are: Your Money Counts Ghana is a Christian advocacy and foundation that aims to bring about long-lasting change in the lives of families, churches, and communities by upholding the biblical teaching of stewardship in order to overcome poverty, corruption, and social injustice.

We are inspired to maintain and promote stewardship in all areas of our life by the teachings of the Bible. We are dedicated to working with churches and communities of people from a biblical perspective to impact lives and transform communities using biblical truth and the power of the Holy Spirit, regardless of one’s origins, gender, color, or ethnicity.

2. Our values

  1. As Christians, we follow Jesus’ example. We seek to be Christ-centered, compassionate, courageous, truthful and servant-hearted in everything we do.
  2. We are Christians: From the abundance of God’s love, we find our call to ministry.
  3. Mobilising churches: We envision, empower and equip churches to play their part in the development and transformation of their communities.
  4. Transforming communities: We assist individuals in developing stress tolerance and self-resilience as they strive for a better future for both themselves and other people.
  5. Changing society: We seek to Influence and change social, political, and economic systems and policies so that the poorest communities can get the services and opportunities they need to thrive.
  6. We are committed to God’s people: We are called to relieve ignorance and to promote the transformation of their condition of life.
  7. We value people: We regard all people as created and loved by God. We give priority to people before money, structure and systems.
  8. We are stewards: We are faithful to the purpose for which resources are given and manage them in a manner that brings maximum benefit to those we serve.
  9. We are partners: We are members of an international organisation “Your Money Counts UK” – A Partnership that transcends legal, structural and cultural boundaries.
  10. We are responsive: We are responsive to the life-changing and transformation of the individual Christian to Christ-likeness where our involvement is needed and appropriate.
  11. We value biblical truth as the only foundation for the identity and mission of the body of Christ. So Scripture will be held in high regard and will be the basis of all that Your Money Counts Ghana teaches.
  12. We value developing leaders and will invest time and resources into relationships and opportunities to see people grow in grace, knowledge and influence.
  13. We value creative thinking and will give people permission to create, to try, to fail, and to attempt impossible things, using their imagination to dream big dreams for God.
  14. We value authenticity ministry and are willing to be involved in the lives of people with real needs and problems, in a spirit of love, on behalf of Jesus Christ, who modeled this principle throughout His ministry on earth. (1Timothy 1:5)
  15. We value grace and acknowledge our complete dependence on the goodness and grace of God. We have benefited from grace and will eagerly extend it to others.
  16. We value strengthening families and will seek to equip husbands, wives, moms, dads and kids of all ages to relate to each other in love and harmony in a culture that often poses resistance to family strength and biblical values.
  17. We value dynamic worship in which people feel the freedom to connect and communicate with their Creator in praise, in worship, in prayer, and in which seekers can observe in an understandable way the presence of God within His people.
  18. We value and shall work to enable all members of the Your Money Counts Ghana to minister to one another in accordance with their God-given identities and to fulfill a global purpose because we appreciate the ministry of every member. The true heroes are the volunteers!
  19. We value people, everybody belongs. We care about the heart, not the skin, the clothes, or the body art. We believe the Your Money Counts Ghana ought to be a home for people of every color, personality, story, age, ethnicity, and socio-economic background. We ought to be able to befriend and do life with people who are unique and different than we are.
  20. We value global thinking in terms of tackling enormous global issues in Christ’s name as well as believers’ multiplication, and we will seek to foster evangelism and discipleship movements that grow far beyond Your Money Counts Ghana family. We will be a part of carrying the gospel to every nation, tongue, and tribe.
  21. We value and prioritise community and encourage participation in small groups among everyone. We believe that life-changing experiences occur most effectively in the context of relationships and caring communities, where everyone shares and encourages one another in their spiritual progress. (Hebrews 10: 24-25)
  22. We maintain simplicity while being responsive to fluidity, flexibility, and adaptable. We use our creativity to reach a larger audience, prevent resource waste, and instead concentrate on achieving our objectives. And we will empower our team leadership to guide us toward achieving a vision and mission statement in order to honor God.
